Haven't done any writing in awhile, sitting down to now but can't seem to break in and just do it.

Anyone know of any good exercises to loosen the creative muscles?

What the fuck? There are no fiction writers anymore, you don't have the experience. Just write some creative e-mail to a co-worker.

what do you mean "now?"

When I need some helping along, I lay down on the couch, listen to some ambient music, close my eyes and basically just daydream.
Put yourself in a/the scene you want to write about, and play through it several times.

Then write.

some anon posted it yesterday, and it really works. Just do it. Normal mode. 15-20 minute time span, strict grace period.
