>after reading for a long while, brain feels drained out or saturated and heavy

How do you deal with this? Especially when you have to compulsorily read for something like exams or assignments?

do something that requires very little of your attention. Your brain is in a focused state when reading/revising/working on something etc. so to alleviate the fatigue that comes with it is to diffuse your head so to speak. Walking, exercising, making food, playing songs you know well on an instrument. It "Opens your mind up" and actually results in better memorisation of what you were doing in your focused state.
