it's an astonishing take on the Abraham story; unfortunately, it is incorrect. It left out the major part of the biblical story of Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac.

In a nutshell, God told Abraham that Isaac would father a multitude of people. However, at the time God told Abraham to kill Isaac, he had no children whatsoever. Therefore, if Abraham killed Isaac, God's promise to Abraham would become false.

Abraham does not believe in a false God.

When Isaac asked Abraham where they were going, and what they were going to sacrifice when they got there, Abraham told Isaac that God would provide the sacrifice. And God did. A ram was caught in a bush and was sacrificed instead of Isaac.

Christians do not worship a God that tells them to kill their children for him. Christians worship a God who had his Son die for them.

And by son you mean incarnation.
