>Philosopher X says other famous philosopher is full of shit and doesn't understand anything
>Philosopher Y says other famous philosopher is just using fancy language to masque that he's basically not talking about anything
>Yet all these philosophers are famous and highly influential

A genuine question: How can people claim there are objectively bad philosophers or bad philosophical ideas when even the most horrible and ridiculous ideas have been expressed by highly influential and erudite philosophers?

They usually actually are expressing something real, it's just that their philosophy as a whole in incredibly retarded, so it has to be translated into a more sensible philosophy to be made sense of.

There are exceptions- I am convinced that certain portions of Hegel are literally gibberish

Hegel might be notorious for it, but he's certainly not the only one. Heidegger was probably even worse in his abuse of language.

But even in less obscurantist thinkers you'll find issues where one will completely dispute everything the other has done, beyond whether their ideas are intelligible or not.

Perhaps you think too highly of yourself, and you just don't understand Hegel.

It's pretty fun. I loved the Chomsky Zizek shit throwing.

>So what if—just another fancy idea of mine—what if Chomsky cannot find anything in my work that goes "beyond the level of something you can explain in five minutes to a twelve-year-old because" because, when he deals with continental thought, it is his mind which functions as the mind of a twelve-year-old, the mind which is unable to distinguish serious philosophical reflection from empty posturing and playing with empty words?

Lovely

The more I read Hegel or Fitche the more I agree with Schopenhauer that they were just spouting nonsensical garbage hidden behind complex word games
