There is nothing like it. By definition you will never be able to capture that same feeling ever again, and I know exactly how you feel, particularly about that book. I did like Le Guin's Earthsea series but understand it's not the same

Do you ever feel like you are watching your life through a tunnel like in Being John Malvovich and you are way too aware of everything as a whole? It's like a disconnect from your conscious and unconsious mind. And drinking blunts your conscious mind and allows you to live via unconsious authenticity like everyone else seems to be doing instead of questioning every action, decision, and situation. And life gets to the point where you see everyone but the feeble minded as contrived and assimilated but there doesn't seem to be a way out of that.
