Well /lit/, I have to read and annotate The House of the Spirits by Tuesday. Is it any good? What are some good ways to speed up the annotating? I'm a relatively fast reader, but annotating really slows me down. Any suggestions?

Don't even do it. Just get a really strong magnet, cover it in some wax paper, go to a sandy beach and collect iron filings. When you have collected more than 4 pounds of this, mix it with cooking oil until it is the consistency of gravy. Then place this concoction in a plastic container and apply the magnet to the bottom of the vessel, giving it small movements here and there from time to time. Marvel at the ferrofluid you have just created.
