Used book stores often have numerous old Robert E. Howard books with cool retro art. Consider getting one and reading it to see if his style accords with your tastes.

Alternatively, consider getting a collection of writings. None of them are perfect, but some of them are better than others. If you limit yourself to books still in print, your options will be few which will make deciding which one to get much easier.

Be extra careful if you go looking for some ebook collection. Many, if not most, are incomplete and full of mistakes.
