So what's the deal with this Atlas Shrugged book I keep hearing about?

Whenever it's mentioned, everyone else just calls the dude who mentioned it a troll. Is it just really bad or something?

I could do that, but I could also read a ton of other books (I was just about to start Vingt Mille Lieues Sous Les Mers). I'd like to know that what I'm reading has a least a chance of being good!
