Wait is this the paperback, how come the paperback cover is cooler then the hardcover copy I rushed out to buy? And why is he smoking on the cover did this not come out after he got cancer?

yeah, he's admitted to sneaking a cigarette every now and then, but i do not believe he smokes as much as he once did. it's hard to say what caused his cancer of the esophagus more, the copious smoking or drinking, but probably a combination of the two. although, i have to agree that this cover is way better than the hardcover edition, which is fucking lame.

I think it's the european hardcover edition. It's the one I have, and I haven't seen the yellowish one anywhere around here in England.

Anyway, I quite liked it. A little too much name dropping in places, but his prose draws you in.
