Just finished reading Man Who Was Thursday. I was enjoying it as a book that was briefly symbolic in parts, but the very ending (from the confrontation of Sunday to the feast) left me pretty confused as I felt the whole novel shifted from a seemingly straightforward story to complete allegory rather quickly. I'm having trouble getting my head around the full significance of the ending and wanted to get some opinions from those who have read it.
