In that case, why do you trust doctors blindly when you are prescribed medicine? Did you do your own physical research beforehand? As in, did you microscopically study the biochemical design of the medication to arrive to the conclusion that it's beneficial? If not, then you're a hypocrite.

Because I can verify that those methods worked for other people in accordance with established scientific principles. Whereas faith can never be verified. You just have to have faith against your better judgement, or face threats of hell, emotional abuse or social ostracism.

In fact, in line with this analogy, I could discern from observing people who became Chrisitian and it's effect on them, that it's false. More often than not such people become emotionally unbalanced and fanatical, prone to delusions about themselves, what god wants for them and demons, etc... instead of getting better, the "medicine" in this case, makes the patient worse.

In the case of doctors I can observe people getting better by taking medicine, wheras with Chrisitian and Muslim converts I can observe people become worse, hence feel justified in disregarding it.

The assertions of the Bible have lower verisimilitude in both a scientific and general sense. It's only with careful interpretation that the Bible gains verisimilitude, which means it is not a primary text to me and, in fact, can't be.

Atheism has dissolved into stupidity. I don't follow any religion myself, but I do respect the teachings of prominent religions. Atheists rarely ever read the works they so heavily criticize, and when they do they are too stupid to interpret the teachings in any way but the literal one.
