I enjoy Revelation Space and Chasm City.
Recommended books?

Picture related, but warning to anybody who wants to read any of Alastair's books. He skips between 4-5 thick stories in almost all of his books, so be prepared for that.

Read Revelation Space a few years ago, but wasn't all that jazzed about it.

Re-reading it now and going to try to get through the other two.

I thought the sci-fi techy stuff was awesome, but his character development fell flat for me.

I just didn't care too much if they died or succeeded or what.

Just me I guess, since this series is lauded as the "new Dune" and what-have-you.

Whatever.

Dune>Revelation Space.....BIG TIME.

That said, I finished this recently and this is easily one of my favorite sci-fi books.

The Algebraist is very similar to Reynolds's stuff.
