today in literaure class: so we readin this poem right. right before this girl begins reading her volunteered stanza aloud professor stops her. says he forgot to warn us of naughty nigger word in lines to come. says she can just not say the word, in a tone idicating yeah you better not read it. so she doesn’t and its this whole big goddamn production. he chose this for the first day of class out of the how many other poems he could have chosen yet he chooses this one knowing well that he’s going to wanna warn us and censor it. is this right? i’m asking honestly maybe there’s something i don’t understand but i just can’t see any reason to skip over reading it or even mentioning it at all. does this happen in your literature classes?????????????? i feel like i should have at least politely asked why we are skipping over the word. didn’t even seem like a big deal to me.

>'nigger' triggers PTSD in virtue signalling faggits

>'Hiroshima boiling' is totes fine (because today's uni students don't understand what figurative language is, or what 'Hiroshima boiling' is actually conveying)

if it wasn't such a big deal, then why are you here asking us about it?

well, you realize that people may have been offended, and the professor was probably worried formhis job, more than your education, right? look, his job and lifestyle comes far before whether or not you learn a damn thing. this is a result of the heavily controlled atmosphere of fear extant in universities, especially those with high minority percentages.

One of my ex's often said the N word in a joking way. She'd call her sandals "nigger sandals" because black people wear them a lot. She was perfect, anon. My heart is still broken.

This is sad, considering in high school I had English classes where we read Huckleberry Finn and such without self censorship because we all understood the context behind its usage.
I can't imagine the hell it would have been going through those books in modern reactionary schools where it is more important to be mild and unoffensive than practical and worldly
