That is some horrible logic right there. The conclusion does not follow from the premise. The same argument could be applied to someone who is proud of science, or humanity as a whole. Or even more obviously it could be applied to people who are proud of other people, that is, it could be applied to people are proud of schopenhauer, as if pride of yourself competed with pride of others, or proud of the proletariat. Thus it undermines its own position and it reveals a two-fold lack of deductive reasoning.

And even though I disagree with their views, a few years ago I could have found recommendations of antinationalist writers, their views and their major works. People thought it mattered and it did from a nuclear war standpoint, but the real ideological war was WWII, and the Jews won. After that it didn't matter whether capitalism or communism came out on top, because being internationalist ideologies, they had control over both, and had already eliminated the real threat, national socialism. It's like how Goldman Sachs will donate to both establishment Democrats and Republicans, as long as a "populist" doesn't come into power. Having controlled competition also gives people the illusion of choice which is helpful for preventing a real threat to their power from rising.
