ITT: books that were to difficult for you

I could make out the differences of time in the Benjy section but Quinton's is too confusing.

I agree OP. I'd heard about the Benjy section beforehand, and I figured after that it would be smooth sailing.
After the Quinton section it gets considerably easier.

When I started Sartre's Being and Nothingness I vaguely understood what he was saying but I knew I was not ready yet. Only other book that really confused me were a few things in As a Lay Dying but when I discussed it with a friend I found I had grasped it better than he did.
