This.

Does he regret being such an asshole, too? Has he said anything along the lines of, like, "Sorry guise for making such a srs deal about your imaginary friend I guess it's not that big a deal after all..."?

Also I don't expect him to get converted and suddenly SEE THE LIGHT LULZ or anything, but he seriously could have been less of an asshole anyway.

What you call "asshole" I call "no bullshit". And since when does anyone have to apologise just because they are dying?

>> No.1033745

>>1033734
I'm not saying he has to apologize because he's dying, but generally if anything is going to put things in perspective for you it's impending doom; and whatever you call it, I still think he and his spaghetti monster friends Dawkins and Harris etc. are making a big deal out of nothing -- their whole careers are based on telling a certain group of people that they're wrong, and I think that's kind of lame.

That's where you and I disagree, then.

It's not just like telling millions of people that astrology is bullshit. It's about raising awareness and warning people of the power of unsupported claims encroaching on free society.

Anyway, Harris etc might have become famous for their stances on religion, but to say that those books are their careers is stupid. Besides, Hitchens and Dawkins were writing books and on TV years before they even touched the subject of religion.
