What is the most shocking/"wow, I can't beleive they could write this" book for you. I don't mean how can they write this as in its a shitty book, I mean how can they write this and get away with it.

For me, it would have to be American Psycho because of the homeless man and the eye scene. That still has yet to be topped for me.

what like offended by? We post on 4chan. Isn't everybody over the idea of offended yet?

Back in the day it was 1984. Read it when I was 9 or ten (thanks dad, yes it was more mature than my fantasy novel) and there is a bit where the young main char takes his sister's food or something and then the next day his mother and sister are just like gone. I had had an argument with my family shortly before reading it and it was just like a oh no what the fuck noooo horrible reaction and then nightmares.

why are you trying to be sarcastic about this.
american psycho was some pretty heavy mainstream gore.
now you just look like an idiot.

>> No.1026910

uh, rat-in-vagina part in american psycho. how is any other part of the book disturbing in comparison?

>> No.1026922

well i don't read much horror novels so i haven't come across that many shocking scenes of gore, but there was a book called Obsidian Butterfly where a zombie got into a hospital nursery and started eating the newborn babies.

Brie cheese and broken glass smothered into that girls vagina. That haunts me. Shocking book. Haunted had some shocking moments, but nothing like Psycho.

Why did I try to read this when I was 13. I started crying.

Wasn't it proven to be a fake later on, though?

I think I heard that his brother claims the whole thing is a massive exaggeration. Says there was abuse, but not to that level.

cant remember the name of the book, i read it quite a few years ago, i was like 13 or summin, but the story was about a 14 year old boyjoining a drug gang in south america, and its all about guns and drugs, and dirty fucked up whores for him. then right at the end he shoots his fucking brains out with a magnum, because his uncle told him ( jind of as a joke, but this kid hates his uncle, and done it anyways, for the lolz, its hard to explain) and he had a tattoo of angel wings on his back on the front cover. anyone know, remember it?
