Can someone explain me the whole thing about time?

I don't recall the details, but the thing that stuck with me is the simple observation which never occurred to me - we measure time with space. The moving hands of the clock move in space to showcase the passage of time, the same can be said for digital clocks. I don't know why this blows my mind, but it does.
The book is amazing in general, one of the more enjoyable things was reading the debates between Settembrini and Naphta. What I love the most about the work, though, is how comfy it is. A shame the second half feels rushed, but it's still one of my favorite books of all time, even though I'm sure some things got over my head.
