What if some 4chan shitposts and random threads could be considered literature, but they are lost to time and only a few people read them? This is kind of beautiful, really. A microcosm of the current situation where pieces of literature come into favor for a few centuries and are read by some people of some socioeconomic class growing up in some geographical area. Except it's a smaller group - the people in the thread.

Is shitposting a form of literature? I mean this in a genuine way

Not sure but that gave me an idea. What if someone made a piece of literature where the setting is an internet image board? I mean one that's not some kind of pasta.

Also if you think about it a certain way a lot of this could be seen as genuine literature. Bring to mind your idea of a "good thread" it could be good for any variety of reasons. Maybe there's really interesting discussion going on, maybe a debate where both sides are bringing up good points, or maybe it just makes you laugh. But my point is that image boards and forums are really there own form of literature with there own structure.

Holy shit anon

That's fascinating and really, really disturbing

Also will specialized chatbot-AIs be considered dynamic forms of literature in the future?

What if literature is just aiming to be a representation of intelligence and AIs will be great at that?

kind of already done by 電車男, a compilation of 2chan threads where a otaku successfully pursues a crush through support and advice from anons.

Specialized how? Do you mean specialized so that they'll always lead the conversation in a certain direction toward a certain conclusion? Or is the literature in interacting with a specific kind of chatbot personality?

I make satirical shitposts; I wouldn't call it literature but I considere it a kind of art, and as I said, satire.

I also like seeing people pissed off.

Doesn't have an imageboard, but you might want to read "the northern caves." It's set on a phpBB board and uses the setting really well. Also try the VN "Digital: a Loce Story" that's set around the player navigating through BBS boards.

Specialized as in they have a personality and subjects of interest and lead the conversation in certain ways

Like epigrams preserved on the walls of Pompeii; our shitposts will too, unfortunately, be preserved.
