Alright /lit/, crazy new idea.
ITT: Children's series or singular novels. They can be classics, or contemporary stories, and they need to be good.
Also, they need not be narrative, they can be a book of verse, nonfiction, introductions to certain subjects, etc - so long as they are interesting and of highish quality.

inb4 Harry Potter and Twilight

Oh, also, I'm not 12 years old. I just think that literary merit can be found in a lot of works written fro younger audiences. Pic related.

Most definitely grossly overrated. It was worth, maybe, one read-through for what it did, but apart from that... was meh. Nowhere near equal in value to the attention it received.

"Nation" by Terry Pratchett

Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift.
It's one of those books that a lot of people are vaguely familiar with, yet, more often than not, have not actually read.

Gulliver's Travels is one of those rare books that is equally suitable for children and adults, as it seamlessly blends fantasy with political satire.

inb4 "that's not a children's book".
