You must be out of your fucking mind. That was literally the worst book I've ever read. Normally when a book is that bad, I toss it aside after the first couple of chapters, but I had liked the movie Mystic River, and wanted to give Lehane a chance to be badass. I kept thinking: Dear God, please don't let the ending resolve with the cheesy plot-twist I predicted on page 20; I don't want to be that disappointed. I read it all the way to the end on the slim hope that Lehane might have been purposefully telegraphic that lame plot twist in order to REALLY blow our minds by doing something completely different.

Alas... What a turdfuck of a book.
