I need help /lit/. There was a book that I read in middle school that I absolutely loved but I can't remember the title. Perhaps someone here knows it?

It was a story about a man crash landing on an island (can't remember if it was either a plane crash or a boat crash) and it's about him surviving alone. I know that's a very generic description but one key thing I remember about the book was the fact that he had TWO CANDY BARS. He hate one for early on in his stint on the island and then ate the other one quite a bit later.

The book focuses somewhat on the candy bars because it's like the one "piece of civilization and luxury" he has left. Does anyone recognize this story?

Do you think the patricians of /lit/ would ever even consider reading such trite garbage?

Thanks.

Not really, unless they read it as a young adult as an introduction to literature.

Try making a post about it here: https://scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/story-identification

Castaway didn't have a huge focus on the two candy bars and I don't think he went psychotic and started talking to a ball.

>>10215384
Thanks anon. Will they help out if it isn't scifi?

No idea, honestly, but worth a shot. Looks like there's a general literature stack exchange that's still in beta you could also try: https://literature.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/story-identification

I read an old thriller novel in grade 8, very adult. It was focused on a female character and her romance with an older guy at her college. They have a daughter and she's abducted by his family, the big twist is that the guy's family is fucked up and his mom is also his sister. Main character ends up shooting someone from that family to rescue her daughter and it ends shortly after that. It probably isn't nearly as good as I remember, but I'd like to at least know the title and author.
The edition I had had a black and white cover, I can't remember of what, maybe a house, and the title was in dark red. Might have had "Blood" in the title. Any ideas /lit/?
