How much Frankfurt School is there in Infinite Jest? I'm asking because I more or less thoughtlessly read the latter two years ago and since yesterday I'm reading dialectics of enlightenment. Is the movie "Infinite Jest" within the novel the exaggerated version of what Horkheimer/Adorno call amusement i.e. entertainment which robs the subject of individuality? Don't feel forced to stick to that one question, I'm more than happy with a few general observations.

Idk, a lot of those references in the book went over my head. Especially all that shit with the mother at the end.
