The only thing I can think of doing is walking around feeling sad about my wasted youth and hoping it spontaneously stops being wasted because I'm following the "jus go out side bro!" advice

Without God nothing you do will really matter or amount to anything.

But with God everything you do will matter and be significant, so long as you keep his commandments and have loving-faith.
Sort yourself out.

yes it is, if it has no spiritual or moral dimension, its just like going to the pop-corn movies. The fact that your brain cells get more stimulation doesn't change the consumerism and decadence of it.

The implication that morality isn't as corrupted by capital as anything else is absurd.

This is just wrong
Aesthetic beauty precedes consumerism and arguably even society as a whole. Just because some parts of consumerism use aesthetics to capture a wider audience does not mean art is a consumerist activity.

morality isn't corrupted, people just get deceived or receive false teachings. Of course exploitation exists, I never denied that.
But what is actually moral remains lasting.

my point was that worthwhile art elevates man spiritually and morally, it doesn't just end at aesthetic appreciation. The moral and spiritual dimensions will in turn make man less greedy, less egoistic, less ignorant, and less susceptible to capitalist advertising or socialist indoctrination.

If you read this book you cannot just learn how to explain dreams, it is teaching how to do empirical research too. Observing many dreams to conclude from this, make it abstract and use it to search for individual cases and collect them. Cogere!
