Yes, I agree. I actually did my undergrad in engineering and those 4 years, when I didn't have time to read or write, were the most miserable of my life. Being steeped in nothing but science changes your worldview and makes you miserable, in my opinion. The arts are definitely necessary to balance things out. Both are needed, science for improving quality of life, and the arts for making life worth living

It's the argument from nature fallacy. It doesn't follow from something being "natural" that it is the logical moral action.
It doesn't follow from someone being defective that they should die.
It doesn't even follow from a Utilitarian model which seeks to maximise pleasure and pain. It costs very little for us to keep some disable people alive and in many cases they may be very happy or make others very happy.
