I've just finished reading Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, The Man in The High Castles and Ubik as well as some of his short story collections and Where should I go from here? Can you recommend any other sci fi authors that have a strong emphasis on false realities, social control, philosophy etc.?

From the same era as PKD, Robert Silverberg, JG Ballard (his disaster novels), Ursula Le Guin (The Lathe Of Heaven especially.) Mockingbird by Walter Tevis.

Also read or re-read Brave New World, 1984.

Thanks mate, heard good stuff about Ursula Le Guin. Think I've read 1984 and Brave New World about 3 times already though.

>Mockingbird by Walter Tevis.
Also, The Shockwave Rider by John Brunner. And if you want more Dick, then definitely read Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch.
