hello /lit/. never been a big fan of literature, but I am hoping to read some books before school starts as means to expand my mind, and keep myself busy. which books do you suggest i read first? also, any links/torrents to books would be greatly appreciated.

Good suggestion here. You pretty much need to read this before you can move on to other literature. It's the basis of all modern literature and it's a pretty quick read.

No, try to be a little more respectful. Just because it's physically long doesn't mean it doesn't read quickly. You won't notice it's length, it's a thrilling tale.

Shize? I should shee! Macool, Macool, orra whyi deed ye diie? of a trying thirstay mournin? Sobs they sighdid at Fillagain’s chrissormiss wake, all the hoolivans of the nation, prostrated in their consternation and their duodisimally profusive plethora of ululation. There was plumbs and grumes and cheriffs and citherers and raiders and cinemen too. And the all gianed in with the shout-most shoviality. Agog and magog and the round of them agrog. With their deepbrow fundigs and the dusty fidelios. They laid him brawdawn alanglast bed. With a bockalips of finisky fore his feet. And a barrowload of guenesis hoer his head. Tee the tootal of the fluid hang the twoddle of the fuddled, O !

As long as you've gotten through Finnegans you should be fine, it has some difficult language though. You need some familiarity with the nuanced language of Joyce to fully appreciate it.
