Can anyone recommend some great poetry? Or have any of those chart images for it?

William Blake is the greatest romantic
TS Eliot is the greatest modernist
Ezra Pound is the final boss

If you're new to poetry start with mid or late-20th century writers of whatever language you know best, and then work backwards. I highly recommend James Wright and Larry Levis. Li-Young Lee, Frank Bidart, Mark Strand, and Marie Howe are all good as well. These are just my favorites really

In the Shreve High football stadium,
I think of Polacks nursing long beers in Tiltonsville,
And gray faces of Negroes in the blast furnace at Benwood,
And the ruptured night watchman of Wheeling Steel,
Dreaming of heroes.

All the proud fathers are ashamed to go home,
Their women cluck like starved pullets,
Dying for love.

Therefore,
Their sons grow suicidally beautiful
At the beginning of October,
And gallop terribly against each other’s bodies.
