Very well, one may wish to ask, “well, how can one know anything at all?”, setting aside the question of layers of irony, to Kant.

For, according to him the self knows a priori of objects only what it creates. In other words,
what it produced according to its own inherent laws. Though, since this a priori activity
is the condition of all knowledge, the self knows only of its OWN creations! Not reality,
as it exists in itself, prior to the deployment of the self's knowing activity!

Kant held these objects only as appearances, and though he may think that appearances
are sometimes more than representations because they are appearances of things-in-themselves,
Kant had no right to even POSIT things-in-themselves, which contradicts his earlier claim that we can only know within the boundaries of experience,
a realm things-in-themselves patently are NOT LOCATED WITHIN!
Thus, Kant's appearances are only representations of NOTHING AT ALL!
