So I have to read two books for summer reading, but I can't get in the mood to read them. What do you do to get in the reading mood /lit/?

I already read 7 without any special motivation...
Anyway go buy a nice book, Go to some cafe, Buy some Ice Coffee or something like that and just read. Or go to the park and read there. Or at the beach.
You have way too many sources of entertainment at home. You need to push them away a bit so you can concentrate on the book. I almost never read at home unless the book is really really good.

My idea is pretty solid. What's wrong with reading outside? It's not showing off. Showing off is when you start listing all the stuff you read to someone.

Because those are two great books. They're short, fast reads even if you don't like the subject matter. But I've never met anyone who didn't at least think they were pretty okay.
