Telling instead of showing the main character's emotions is okay when they're narrating, right?

We don't have a direct access to our emotions, rather they manifest through certain recurring thoughts, or some physical reaction.
Rather than have your character state "I'm angry at Jenny", show it through what his inner monologue would actually be like in that situation: "I hate that Jenny always wants us to do what she wants, she's so inconsiderate."

Don't make your character's nose bleed tho, that's an awful, awful cliche.

If you were telling someone what happened, you'd be straightforward about how you felt at the time, wouldn't you?
