Is there a book that covers pagan faiths of europe from a historical and a perspective to see how it shaped europe in a neutral lens?

Anon.... this chart sucks. Wtf.
>Hermeticism in 100 ce
>Catharism out of Gnosticism but unrelated to Catholicism.
>Egyptian and Mesopotamian out of Arabic animism. ARABIC.
>Judaism out of Mesopotamian polytheism.
>Mormonism is on there, but not Sunni and Shia Islam
>Bogomilism and Wicca are on there but shit like Calvinism isn't.
>Finnish is arctic (So the Urals are in arctic now?)

Animism is a primitive form of biosemiotic realism and is literally right.

Today's Judaism is descent of pharisees who were practicing Babylonian religion together with Torah. Talmud and Kabbalah are both Babylonian.

That arrow from Zoraster to Judiasm should be a lot thicker.
Also that 20k BCE connection of Vedic to PIE is way too far back. It's not like Vedas first went through a Semitic period.

Where can I read about this 'biosemiotic realism'?
Also, I always thought animism was derived from just utilising the innate social faculties humans have on inanimate or abstract objects, understanding them through that natural lens rather than through something comparatively unnatural such as a mechanistic lens, which requires social/cultural build-up. Whereas animistic perception is the baseline, and the most intuitive and intimate. Later religions deriving from animism can be thought of as streamlined simplifications or generalisations.

"Biosemiotic realism" was a glib. If you want to read about it, check out; Peirce, Natural Propositions, Incomplete Nature, a foray into the world of animals, etc. Nobody that I am aware of explicitly writes about what I am talking about, Peirce is essential and natural propositions seems very promising (I'm only about a chapter in)

There's this version 2.0 one. The only difference in the v2.1 one seems to be getting rid of the arrow from Vedic to Shenism.

Judaisim is a semitic religon.
The semites were a distinct ethnic group and tribe in the ancient near east. Calling them Mesopotamian is inaccurate and shows a lack of historical understanding of the region and it's cultures at that time.

Which is ofcourse hard to do in a chart like this, which is exactly why it's a shitty chart.

The Babylonians wrote in a semitic language actually. But that other poster is still wrong, he's taken the name Babylonian Talmud to mean that Pharisees were Babylonian polytheists which is ridiculous. The Babylonian Talmud was written by diaspora Jews, including the early Mishnah portions it was written about 2nd century to 5th century AD, and was based on their oral traditions, and became accepted throughout the Jewish world. There is also a Jerusalem Talmud which is much shorter. The diaspora Jews in Babylon were direct descendents of Israelites who were exiled there in the 6th century BC. The Pharisees were a sect in Judea and died out as a distinct group after the Bar Kokhba revolt in the 130s AD.
