In all seriousness, you've missed the point. The grown-ups aren't evil or malicious, they're just misguided. They even show flickers of goodness. That's the whole idea behind the story. We never completely lose touch with our childhood selves anyway, and trying to bury that part of us is a futile struggle.

Also, NEETche would have liked this book. It advocates for bucking social mores in order to reach towards the heights of one's spiritual potential. That's his deal.

Does this frighten you guys?

I feel Saint-Exupéry is very undervalued here in /lit/. His other books are pretty good as well.
