I sometimes accidentally download books and I can't help myself and read them. I'm also rich.

>costs fuel, money, time of the person trying to shoplift, requires planning, equipment, alibis, a risk with the police, risks arrest, risk being bashed/raped in prison, makes bookshops and the staff working there miserable
>downloading takes 1 second and you can get it a minute after it releases, sometimes earlier with none of the drawbacks

Stole a semi-used copy of Godel Escher Bach and a new Grimm's Fairy Tales a few weeks ago, it's going well. I have my eye on an out of print hardcover of Ben-Hur from my local library and luckily I believe I can get through a backdoor so it's just a matter of timing. I also want to lift a copy of The Aeneid from my local bookstore since it's overpriced anyway, but even though there's no barcode I'm always the only one there other than the manager who has a direct line of vision to the classics shelf whenever I go in so it's going to be significantly more difficult. Anyone got any tips? I should definitely bring a backpack of some sort buts it's going to be suspicious since I haven't do so previously

It's probably worth mentioning that I've already been called out on the Godel Escher Bach but I've denied it and so far there hasn't been any further inquiries. The person I stole it from probably knows it's me but they're too beta to pursue it
