Most pseuds will just recommend This is Water or like Good Old Neon or something. He's actually a damn good writer. Read his Oblivion stories to determine whether or not you want to commit to something like Infinite Jest. His essays are very enjoyable too.

Someone who suggested him to me cataloged on their twitter every instance DFW repeated two words throughout his writing. Both the volume and the fact that someone took the time to do this is just so cringy to me. I'm really hard-pressed to have any respect for this kind of shit
