What is THE most interesting book you have ever read? One you couldn't drop because of how interesting and fun it was? Pic related interesting?

No. I saw the movie and liked it, was wondering if he'd written anything else as enjoyable.

FLASHMAN! FIGHTER OF THE DULL MAN!

>> No.9707771

A strategic overview of two wars and their theaters, written by a high ranking officer in the Binnish army. Trilogy.

Something like 1800 pages and I read that in a week or less.

Hippolyte Taine - Notes sur l'Angleterre. This included interesting addendums about 19th century political thought, agriculture and the role of religion in Britain and France. Highly recommended (I'm surprised that Moldbug didn't read/refer to it)

Tara Gillespie - My Immortal. This is an essential introduction to 21st century online literature. The work leaves more questions than answers - what happens after the ending? Is the work a parody or a insightful albeit inexperienced author commenting on tribalism? Does the title foreshadow "Darko's" effortless reentering into the realm of the living or is an accurate prediction of how the memories, copies, and offshoots of the text remain longer than the text itself? All this is unanswered. Recommended.
Christopher Clark - Iron Kingdom and The Sleepwalkers

When I was 12 I felt that way about the The Contender. I read a lot of stuff now, but nothing really impresses me.

I pretty much just chase novelty now.

I guess you've got a point, I'm not twelve anymore
