Hello, this is just to remind /lit/ that it's summer and that summerfags are the worst. While /lit/ has steadily been getting worse over the past few years (part of it is the unofficial /pol/-invasion, and also retards pretending to be /pol/-tards for fun), this may be the worst start to summer I've ever seen.

Some awful, inane threads on here that (while /lit/ in general has always sucked) at least wouldn't be seen when it's not summer:

>How did you quit smoking /lit/?
>Are there any good Youtube channels about books?
>words that DON'T necessarily sound like their definition
>words that sound like their definition
>According to this (infograph) you're all most likely middle class folk. Reading's supposed to mean you're smart. Explain.
>How do i start reading?: Questions to those who started reading books with the goal to start reading books: How did you motivate yourself to read something?
>Who would win in this debate and who is better? [picture of Evola and Stirner]
>thread: what is the best postmodern book
>I've spent the last 6 months casually reading all of the Animorph series books.
> What are your favorite Gods and Goddesses—regardless of whether you subscribe to the religion itself or not? Mine has to be Shiva just because of how badass he is.
>no longer NEET >no time to read just kill me famalamalams
>name one (1) good christian philosopher
etc.

While half or more of these may be obvious trolls, such excessive trolling and irony itself ruins the quality of the board, makes everything more negative, and in general makes browsing /lit/ a more depressing experience; and sadly enough, about half or a little less of these posters seem to be sincere idiots who have more time to post in the summer and are now shitting up the board.

pic unrelated. Although perhaps in another sense it is related, because this is the worst I've ever seen this board, such that we might sincerely start having regular Stephen King threads at this point

What's the recommended translation for the Animorphs books?

>/pol/-tards
friendly reminder that pic related has literally never been refuted. niggers are verifiably inferior and /pol/-posters drive redd*tors off the board, greatly increasing quality.

I'm actually OK with this part, I'll give you that. But even if other races are inferior, I don't want to talk about it on a fucking literature board for Christ's sake

doth protest too much

treat it like any one of the thousand other topics on /lit/ that you aren't particularly interested in at the moment, instead of sperging out about le /pol/bogman

True. I've been surprised at just how completely uninterested I've been here these past few weeks. The benefit is of course more time to spend in other spheres. Don't mean NOT to complain because I sincerely care about this board. But I'll take the vacation. It's needed.

/lit/ has always been trash, and will always be trash.

Where should I start with Stephen King?
