What can I learn from Hegel? Are his writings all just bullshit?

He's always listed as a classic influential thinker, but everything he wrote down seems like intentional nonsense. What do I get for studying his vague unintelligible history for years as opposed to studying actual history for years? Looking for genuine answers.

Someone read some Hegel and is not impressed at people's defense of gibberish

I'm not sure you'll be able to "learn" much of practical use. He attempted to solve the Object-Subject Problem and attempted to rescue Idealism. Some would say he succeeded. Some would say he didn't. Most would say they didn't bother with him.

That would be a nice shirt if it showed bottles of various spirits between the middle two yellow lines.

His diction is pretty dense, I'll agree. But once you've worked out what he says, you'll end up feeling a little better.
