But in all honesty, the term signifies a group that is very easy to spot, and is probably the worst cancer of all time. I hold them solely responsible for the rise of the alt-right. I try to ignore them as best as I can, but whenever I happen across an article written by an SJW, I feel the almost irresistible pull towards straight up Nazism.

Using a term to identify a group of people - as homogeneous as you think that group might be - is never useful. It only encourages narrow thinking.

Just as left wingers use "Nazi" to designate anyone they disagree with, using SJW to disagree with people supporting social policies you disagree with is lazy thinking.
