But Humbert wasn't portrayed very good in the book. He starts out dreaming of getting to fuck a lolita and thinks it'll be a great and lovely relationship.

Once he gets a lolita he abuses her and pretty much completely disregard her feelings and emotions, only caring about his own satisfaction, no mattter what it does to her. Only allowing her the smallest doses of happiness if it in the end leads to him being able to further satisfy his urges.

Seems like quite the anti-pedo book to me. Perfectly showcases the fantasy world pedophiles build up to justify their pedophilia with the real world consequences of them being allowed to prey on the world.
