I wanted to write a YA novel about a women of colour who becomes a wizard warrior, and make it seem like a triumphant feel good glory story until the third chapter after she topples the Empire. The rest of the book would be her turning deranged, murdering opposition, participating in cannibal pagan rituals, making love to animals and finally destroying the world as she unleashed pseudo-hell unto it.

I just finished my Hunger Games ripoff with a similar length and my advice is to just be a big boy and write a chapter a day regardless of how shitty it turns out. You can rewrite it all later if the quality matters to you.
