Scientific articles are not literature. This anon (>>8623833) is just too lazy to provide an adequate definition.

>>8623767
Depends of the language, in English scientific articles can be considered and referred to as scientific literature. In other languages such as Spanish, the word literature only refers to a text with literary value, and is different from a scientific text.

An art form that uses words, usually written, but also in some cases spoken, as the tool of expression. It encompasses fictional narrative works, lyric works, drama (only the written form, though) and certain works of non-fiction (an autobiography such as Min Kamp obviously has artistic pretensions, while scientific articles generally do not).

The Diary of Anne Frank is considered literature, but it's just a diary.
There's a brazilian book called "Os Sertões" which is written in a jornalistic way, but it's considered literature as well.
