If any Singer/Songwriter/POET/AUTHOR deserves a Nobel Prize for their work, it should be Leonard Cohen

There is literally zero chance they would award it to two Canadians in two years.

Technically, no

But Bob is by far the more charismatic and indeed enigmatic balladeer

I believe he wrote it weeks ago. It was an open letter to a friend of his who recently died.

This.

I love Leonard Cohen, but it's pleb-tier logic to conclude that just because he's also an accomplished author of poetry that he's automatically more deserving of a Nobel Prize. A lot of accomplished authors of poetry don't win the Nobel Prize. The only thing that distinguishes Leonard from them is that he happens to also be a famous singer.

Bob Dylan is more innovative, more accomplished, and will be remembered 100 years from now, which would have been the case regardless of whether or not he won the prize.

I love Cohen to a great degree, but his last good book of poetry was in 198 (Book of Mercy), and all his other achievements, aside from a few modest albums, are far in the past.

Not true at all.

His last album was very good. Listen to Born in Chains. Such a great gospel song.
