I really do like Sam for his ability to spell out complicated problems in a way any idiot can comprehend. He's a good presenter. He's very good at staying on track and maintaining a tight economy of words. He is one of the most competent debaters alive today.

However, his range is very narrow and his thought is pretty shallow. He doesn't get much strikingly obviously horrible wrong, but he simplifies things to the point of absurdity at times. He tends to be such a reductionist scientific naturalist. Also, while he comes to acceptable conclusions with his ethics, his brand of easy "scientific" consequentialism is for the birds.
