Is this good? I'm about to buy it.

Are there any other good books on intellectual history?

I kind of do, but the thing is it's so vast that you should probably narrow it down. The World of Thought in Ancient China is good, for example, but if you're not interested in ancient China probably not so much.

That's still incredibly broad- you could fill libraries with the history of philosophy, and other libraries with the history of science. But anyway, maybe Raymond Williams' Keywords would be a good start/handy reference.
