Dunno about opium proper, but I hear an herb called kratom is an excellent opioid substitute. From what I was told, it's most like hydrocodone, which is actually one of the alkaloids found in opium proper.

>> No.809341

>>809297

its opiate like, but still quite different. youll want to the bali type as it produces more sedating effects as opposed to the other varieties. it really doesnt taste that bad either, sort of like a slightly bitter tea. the only problem i had with it was the fact that you need to ingest quite a few grams of it for a stronger dose if its not an extract or deveined. i found the best way to ingest it was to mix a whole bunch in with some hot chocolate, stir a bunch, then drink in gulps.

these are some legit sites to order from if anyone is interested. try to avoid one-stop-shops like iamshaman.com or the like for kratom as they tend to have weaker batches. sites devoted only to kratom tend to have the best supplies:

http://www.kratomhill.com/
http://www.kratomcats.net/
http://thekratomking.com/

you can also buy poppy pods over the internet and make poppy tea out of them. you can buy them for 'decorative purposes' like making wreaths and shit, but you basically just grind them up in a coffee grinder, then seap them in warmish water for awhile, then chug. then seap in cold water and chug. be advised that it tastes bitter as all hell.

also you can just grow your own poppy pods then slit the pods, collect the sap, then refine it into opium. as long as you arent aware of the fact that poppies can be used to make opium and heroin, they are legal to grow.

first, Camus is my favorite author ... now i list.

i have smoked cigarettes for 10 years, now a pack every 2-4 days
i was a pothead for 7 yeas, and an off again on again for 2 years after
i have smoked ice, or freebase methamphetamine for 2 years, but that was while ago.
i have smoked opium, and would now, if i could find it, because i love fucking opiates
i have smoked a collage of legal inebriants and hallucinogens too many to list, about a 5 years period of this.
i have smoked 2C-E a few times
I have smoked Datura a few times

why? for the effects of course.
but opiates are the only drugs that ever made me want to write, pot gave ideas but bad prose, and everything else made one far too fucked up to produce anything actually good.
once again, opiates are the only literary smoke i have done, and cigarettes to a degree, when one is in a good zen writing mood.

the Kratom, Wild Dagga for interesting legal inebriants

http://www.orionzoneproducts.com/
for stuff like 2C-I, 2C-E, and the few remaining legal DMT related stuff, though their quantity varies and sometimes have all the above, sometimes just one available. I have ordered and it is true and works. however, when they say something will be back ordered, they mean it, like when they say six weeks, they mean six to eight weeks.

Datura is legal, but be careful
San Pedro cactus is legal, contains mescaline
morning glory seeds and hawaiin baby woodrose seeds contain natural LSA. for a spiritual acid trip with less visuals these are good.
many legal plant variants can create ayauscha (misspelled and don't want to look up) which IS DMT

not the guy your post referred to, but you can buy cuttings of the san pedro cactus of the internet and do an extraction to get out the mescaline aka the active chemical inside peyote. although if youve never tripped before, mescaline can be pretty intense.

you can also buy psilocybin mushroom spores and grow your own shrooms.

you can also find some sites that sell research chemicals, although youll have to be careful as there are alot that will rip you off and just take your money.

overall i wouldnt put too awful much hype into the 'doors of perception' thing. you dont gain enlightenment because of the drugs themselves, rather the drugs just enable/show you how to think in a different way, or to see things from a different perspective. you can very much do the same thing without drugs, drugs are just one avenue to it.

a large majority of the time, youll be tripping or real high and think youve just figured life out, then once you come down you wonder why the fuck that made any sense at all to you.

>> No.809438

>>809392

i wouldnt recommend datura as it pretty much just makes you delirious. not to knock your experiences with it or anything, but many, many reports ive read about it online end up with the user in the hospital, or waking up 8 hours later in a strange place with no recollection with what happened.

LSA is a good thing to look into though. if you get morning glory seeds, just make sure you get untreated ones. most packaged seeds youll get from your local garden shop in the US are treated with a poison that will make you throw up so you cant get high off them without crazy side effects. you can order untreated seeds off the internet or grow a few plants and harvest the seeds from them. your best bet would be to get Hawaiian baby woodrose seeds as you dont have to eat near as many as with MGs.

>> No.809446

>you dont gain enlightenment because of the drugs themselves, rather the drugs just enable/show you how to think in a different way, or to see things from a different perspective.

This is actually the main lesson I've learned FROM doing drugs with psychedelic effects. A lot of it has to do with mindset, experimentation, and before/after comparisons. For instance, I have known several people who developed the ability to "astral project" with the help of DXM, then retain and refine the ability without further need for the substance. Others have gained insight enough to seriously change their lives for the better, some of them just from one-time experiences even. There are definitely other avenues, like you said, I just think different things work better for different people.

That being said, besides deep meditation and perhaps psychotherapy, what other avenues do you know of?

lucid dreaming. art. even to some extent, just actively attempting to pull yourself outside your own body and become an unbiased observer to yourself and world around you. thats really not a great explanation of what im trying to convey, but im not quite sure how else to put it.

if i had to make an analogy, i would say to hold a book infront of you so you can only see the cover. now from you perspective, there is nothing else to the book but the cover. from your perspective the cover is the book and there is nothing else to it. now if you learn to flip the book over and open it up and look inside it, the book becomes something completely different. now youve learned how to see the book as a whole, and learned how to see things from different perspectives and it tends to stick with you. really an epiphany like that can be brought about by anything imo.

thats my whole take on the 'doors of perception' theory.
