The argument is against racial differences is, in this case, self defeating. If there weren't significant differences, african literature would have had a much greater impact upon literature as a whole than it has. If one wishes for the literary body to pay special attention to african literature because they are special cases that need special attention, they are not intellectually the same, whether the reasons for the existence or non-existence of racial differences are cultural or not.
