Anais Nin wrote erotica and kept a stable of erotic lit authors while she was trying to support her toyboy and her lesbian lover while she was still struggling to become known as a serious author. However, given that nowadays she's mostly known for her erotic short stories rather than her novels or journals, she may not be exactly what OP is after.
