Started reading The Iliad, am I the only who thinks it's really funny? Everyone is so fucking angsty and silly that when you take a step back and look past the poetry it's completely ludicrous.

I'm not bashing on it, don't get me wrong it's really great but I'm curious to know if others find it as funny as me

Ii couldn't, I gave up on it pretty quick. Plato is a better place to get into the Greeks; he has his own funny moments, especially regarding boipucci, and he also has renderable prose and themes that you can somewhat relate to
