uuum...something scary or just in the vein of horror? Nothing really scares me, so I don't read much of it, but I think everyone should read Frankenstein. Especially in conjunction with Paradise Lost; it's great.
Something scary...I guess Lovecraft...seems to be what everyone and their mom goes for these days. He's good, but be prepared to break out a thesaurus every once in awhile. Great ideas, horrible writer.
